Kuldeep Singh's work showcases a strong relationship between performance and visual arts. It is the classical Indian dance of Odissi that forms the key elements of his artworks. It is the body, thus employed, which becomes the key vessel for transporting the ideas. The key character in the artworks is a self-generated identity which borrows its key principles from his dance form. The traditional Indian notion of interrelationships of arts is witnessed, but from a very modern Indian viewpoint.
Working in mixed media, Kuldeep plays with various materials. The hard lines of the pencil show his confident direction and while the washed patches his passion to experiment. His color palette is light and maintains the translucency of his subject and multiple layers of thought and their transitional quality.
